Prof. Khaled Kattan

Professor Khaled Manae AlKattan is the Dean of College of Medicine at Alfaisal University and a Consultant and Head of Thoracic Surgery at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center.

He graduated with an MBBS degree from King Saud University in 1984, attained his F.R.C.S (part 1 & 2) from Edinburgh (1987-88). He has completed several professional trainings and has obtained extensive experience in Thoracic surgery over the course of his academic career from 1989-2000 at the King Saud University.
He received several scholarships and awards, the recent highlight being the Lifetime Achievement award (2014) by the Saudi Thoracic Society. Dr. Al Kattan is the founder and board member of various societies including Saudi Thoracic Society, Medical Education Society, Alzheimer’s Saudi Charity etc. He is an honorary member of over 35 medical clubs and societies.
Dr. Akef Obidat

Dr. Akef Obidat, is a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. In 1998, he earned a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He also holds M.B.Ch.B (Medicine & General Surgery) degree from Al-Mustansiriyah University in, Baghdad, Iraq in 1987 as well as a Post-doctoral fellow from Neuroscience Research Institute, Ottawa University, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in 2000.
Dr. Akef held multiple leadership positions throughout his career, some of the notable positions he has held, Member of the scientific committee, Dr. Hamzah Al-Khouli CHAIR for Developing Medical Education in Saudi Arabia, and the Director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation, Associate Professor of Anatomy and Medical Education, College of Medicine, Alfaisal University, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He also have received multiple awards through his career, such as University of Ottawa President’s Award, Bristol-Meyers Squibb Award for Excellence in Medical Education Teaching, and Queen’s University Graduate Award.

Since 2014 Brandt has been building great companies with private equity. He was General Counsel of an aggressive high-growth tech and manufacturing company which he grew to over a billion dollars in contracts, Managing Member of a boutique law firm catering to the venture capital industry, and Associate General Counsel at one of the United States’ premier venture capital firms.
Brandt’s earlier career included positions with the National Security Council, the U.S. Congress, and an AmLaw 100 law firm. He earned his J.D. at Georgetown University, and later was invited to join the faculty as an adjunct professor. He holds a M.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from the University of Kansas.

I grow up in a business oriented family in which I had the luxury of seeing many businesses and factories being run and began this give me the ambition to succeed those who came before me, that’s why I graduated as an industrial engineer to maximize the efficiency, minimize the costs, and learn and apply techniques to help push our business to its peak.
